Discovering the Birds & Wildlife of the Himalayas
I'm Ankush Thakur — a Himalayan bird guide, naturalist, and wildlife photographer based in Himachal Pradesh. Since 2012, I have spent thousands of hours in the forests, mountain valleys, and wetlands of the Western Himalayas.
My journeys take travelers into the heart of Himachal Pradesh's diverse landscapes — from guided birdwatching walks around Dharamshala and Kangra to rare Snow Leopard expeditions in Spiti and Himalayan Brown Bear treks in Lahaul.
